A Seasonal Story: Hina Dolls
We have decorated our salon with traditional Hina dolls to welcome the season of Hinamatsuri.
These elegant dolls are inspired by the wedding ceremonies of Heian-period aristocrats, dating back over 1,000 years. Dressed in layered silk kimono, they bring a bright yet gentle presence to the tatami room of our Japanese home. Their quiet beauty adds warmth and joy to the space, reminding us of the coming of spring.
🌸 What is Hinamatsuri?
Hinamatsuri, celebrated every year on March 3rd, is a traditional Japanese festival that prays for the healthy growth and happiness of girls. In many households with daughters, Hina dolls are displayed from around February until this special day, expressing wishes for well-being and a prosperous future.
The display of Hina dolls is only available for a limited time, until March 3rd. It is a seasonal tradition that appears briefly each year, making this moment all the more precious.
We warmly invite you to visit our salon and experience this beautiful expression of Japanese culture. Surrounded by tatami, seasonal decorations, and quiet attention to detail, you can enjoy a peaceful cultural moment away from the busy city.
✨ We offer Japanese calligraphy and tea ceremony experiences by reservation only.
Why not slow down and enjoy art, tradition, and matcha tea in a real Japanese house in Tokyo?
