The Beauty of Connection
At the end of last year, one of our local neighbors returned to our salon near Shibuya, bringing a friend to experience our traditional irori room. It was a quiet and meaningful moment that reminded me how cultural experiences are often shared through personal connections.
His friend practiced the kanji 「永」, meaning eternity. This character is said to contain the eight essential strokes of shodo. She expressed its balance and flow with great care.
Our calligraphy and tea ceremony experience takes place in a real Japanese home near Shibuya. This peaceful space offers a unique opportunity to slow down, sit on tatami mats, practice shodo, and enjoy an authentic Japanese tea ceremony away from the busy city.
If you are visiting Tokyo and looking for a genuine cultural experience, we would be happy to welcome you.
Private calligraphy and matcha tea ceremony sessions are available by reservation only.
