Calligraphy – An Art of Japan
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming five wonderful guests to our Japanese calligraphy experience here at Oh! Mama in Ikenoue, Tokyo. Each participant chose a meaningful kanji character and brought it to life with brush and ink. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with focus, creativity, and heartfelt expression.
We are truly grateful not only for their participation but also for the lovely group photo they shared with us! In the picture, each guest is proudly holding up their completed calligraphy – a visual harmony of individual stories told through powerful words.
Among the kanji they wrote were:
山 (Yama / Mountain) – Majestic and serene, like Mt. Fuji standing tall in the heart of Japan.
心 (Kokoro / Heart/Mind) – Pure and unwavering, expressing a strong and sincere spirit.
真 (Shin / Truth) – Honesty, purity, and sincerity – “Shin” reminds us of the beauty in staying true.
夢 (Yume / Dream) – A symbol of hope and aspiration. May your dreams come true!
愛 (Ai / Love) – So gentle, beautiful, and full of warmth – we could feel love overflowing from the ink.
Thank you again to our guests for making this such a memorable day. We look forward to welcoming many more visitors to discover the art of Japanese calligraphy with us!
