A Special Day of Shodo (Calligraphy) and Sado (Tea Ceremony)

Thank you very much for visiting us and taking part in both the Shodo (Japanese calligraphy) and Sado (Tea Ceremony) experiences!

We were truly delighted to see how much you enjoyed Shodo—some of you even said you could do it all day! It was wonderful to witness your curiosity about Japanese characters, and we loved how you explored not only one kanji, but also challenged yourselves with more kanji, as well as hiragana and katakana. It brought us so much joy to see you writing with such enthusiasm.

You also showed genuine interest in the tea ceremony, asking thoughtful questions and helping to create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. While waiting for your calligraphy pieces to dry, you enjoyed traditional sweets, matcha, and even some sake—making the entire experience feel extra special.

We were especially touched by how warmly you connected with our salon, which was once a private home. It was a joy to see you spend such a meaningful moment here together.

We sincerely hope your time in Japan becomes a treasured and unforgettable experience—and that the memories you created here with us, along with your beautiful calligraphy, will remain a lasting part of your journey.
