From Oil to Ink

Here’s a glimpse of last week’s calligraphy experience at our salon.
Our guest, who majors in oil painting at an art university, chose to write the word “油絵” (“oil painting”) in calligraphy—a wonderfully creative idea!

Unlike oil painting, where you can paint over your work, calligraphy is a one-shot art form. Once the brush touches the paper, every stroke remains as it is, capturing the beauty of that unrepeatable moment.
