A Lovely Couple’s Visit – Calligraphy and Tea

We welcomed a wonderful couple to our small Japanese-style house in Ikenoue, just 4 minutes from Shibuya by local train. They enjoyed hot tea and took part in our calligraphy experience.

The photo shows their bright smiles as they proudly hold their calligraphy works. Interestingly, they both chose to write the same character, which reflected their closeness. Watching them made us feel truly happy.

It had been a long time since they last practiced calligraphy—since school, they said. That made their dedication to each brushstroke even more special. Some lines came out just as they expected, while unintentional brush textures added unique depth to the piece. They poured their hearts into the work, and their joy filled our salon with warmth and light. We look forward to welcoming you again.
