Children’s Day Display
Every year on May 5th, Japan celebrates Children’s Day, a national holiday dedicated to the healthy growth and happiness of children—traditionally boys. Families display a kabuto (samurai helmet) and koinobori (carp streamers) to symbolize strength and future success.
We have decorated our tokonoma alcove with a samurai helmet. These displays reflect the hope that children will grow up strong, brave, and happy.
We invite you to visit and experience the spirit of this wonderful Japanese celebration!
