Warmth at the Irori Hearth
Recently, we welcomed local guests to our traditional house in Tokyo for a warm cultural experience around the irori hearth.
The irori used to have long been the heart of a Japanese home — a place where warmth and conversation are shared. As we gathered around the gentle glow of the light, the atmosphere felt calm and warm.
Even in a busy city like Tokyo, there are still places where time slows down.
Oh! Mama is a traditional Japanese house located in Ikenoue, a peaceful residential neighborhood near Shibuya. Here, you can experience shodo (Japanese calligraphy) and a traditional matcha tea ceremony in a calm and private setting.
✨ Private sessions are available by reservation only.
