Enjoy Hina Dolls!

Every year on March 3rd is Hinamatsuri, or Doll’s Festival in Japan. This special day celebrates the healthy growth and happiness of girls. Most families get Hina dolls when a baby girl is born so they can display them at home for her first Hinamatsuri. On this day, families gather to enjoy festive foods such as chirashi zushi, clear soup with large clams, and hina-arare (colorful rice crackers).
