Mending Wagasa

Our vibrant red wagasa brightens our shop. Over time, the washi paper and oil have deteriorated, and being placed in the sun has caused some tears. We are now mending it with matching red washi paper.

In the past, we also replaced the washi paper on our andon lanterns. Step by step, we continue to care for these traditional items with great care.
