Both are elegantly expressed with smooth lines and soft blurs.

In our serene shoin-style tatami room, they wore light jinbei jackets and practiced shodō (Japanese calligraphy) using brush and ink. It was a delight to see them proudly present their calligraphy — we were genuinely happy that they enjoyed the experience so much.

While waiting for the ink to dry, they enjoyed a real tea ceremony, watching the careful movements of the host and savoring Japanese sweets with freshly prepared matcha.

Unlike tourist facilities, our experiences take place in a lived-in Japanese home with a traditional irori hearth, just 4 minutes from Shibuya.
