Even after the sun sets, the temperature barely lets up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, just before 1 PM, I measured the temperature right outside our salon.<br>38.6\u00b0C \u2014 that&#8217;s 101.48\u00b0F!<br>No wonder it feels so hot!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Official weather data for Tokyo is recorded inside the Imperial Palace grounds \u2014 a vast green space right in the heart of the city. The observation point is located in Kitanomaru Garden, which is open to the public and filled with trees, grass, and water features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, today&#8217;s official high in Tokyo was 35\u00b0C (95\u00b0F).<br>But as you can see, temperatures on city streets surrounded by concrete and asphalt can be significantly higher.
