In Japan, the transition from Christmas to New Year is remarkably swift. If you visit stores now, you’ll notice they sell Christmas and New Year\u2019s ornaments side by side. By the time December 26th arrives, the glittering Christmas lights are replaced overnight with elegant decorations that herald the arrival of the Japanese New Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Year\u2019s in Japan is a time for family reunions, much like Thanksgiving in the United States. It\u2019s a cherished occasion when loved ones come together and share traditional dishes. It\u2019s also a moment to reflect on the past year and set intentions for the one ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
