Another standout is their Yaki Dango, a grilled to perfection mochi on a skewer coated with a sweet and savory soy sauce glaze. This simple yet irresistible treat hooked our family in a first bite.

Kin-gyoku, on the other hand, is a jewel-like confection made from sugar, agar, and syrup. Its outer layer, coated with crunchy sugar, offers a delightful texture contrast to the soft jelly-like center. Completely plant-based, thanks to the sea plant derived agar, Kin-gyoku’s plain sweetness pairs beautifully with the flavors of matcha.

Since Chikuoudou’s confections are exclusively available at their store, we invite you to savor these artisanal sweets right here at our teahouse.

Chikuoudou

[26

post-3830","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-staff-picks
["GET
